Do monsters have to take interact actions to switch weapons?

If I have a monster who has, let’s say, a greatsword for their melee attack and a blunderbuss for their ranged attack, do they have to follow rules as normal for dropping and drawing weapons, or are they exempt?

Sorry if this is obvious, but I couldn’t find anything in the rule book or online that answers it.

Yep, monsters follow the same rules unless otherwise noted in their stat block. There may be a case where a monster has more than the standard two hands and are allowed full use of the extras, but that would be clearly stated if true

Seconded. NPC enemies have different rules for how their stat blocks are created. But once the stat block is in place, they follow the same rules for how their actions are spent and how they do things.

Thank you! That's a very good thing to know going forward.
