This is probably going to sound whiny and all, for the last two days I was trying to use the holiday23 discount code to pick up some PDFs I was recommended. I was planning on running some PF2e for my co-workers since their 5e game was wrapping up and I got suggestions for good supplements from a trusted friend. I was looking at picking up stuff like the beginner box, gamemastery guide, gods & magic, and troubles in otari. I probably did not strictly need them, the discount kinda incentivized me to pick them all up on sale, rather than piecemeal over time.
I sat down and flicked through the store pages, adding to my cart as I went and saw the discount working over 28 hours before it was set to expire. Had over $100 worth of digital goods in my cart. Then the discount stopped working/applying it's 15% discount, just randomly. I've not made the purchase since I knew it was single use per account. Was still "active" on my cart, but was acting like it did not apply for the products in my cart.
I reach out to the community I hang with to see if it's just a me thing and get back suggestions. Empty the cart & readd everything, remove the OpenGaming code (which only got added because I thought that would apply to PDFs, but it was just print, also I can't remove discount codes!), clear cookies, only trying to buy some of the items, incognito mode, second browser, private mode in second browser, 2 other PCs and sets of browsers, even a second Paizo account in case that is where the issue was. Never mind I was also fighting your servers being overloaded and throwing errors.
Nothing changed, even with the 4 times I sat down over this in the past 24 hours to try again.
So I gave up, left the one thing I needed to get, the beginner box PDF and FVTT code, in my cart and removed the rest. I tossed like 2/3-3/4 of what I was looking to buy.
To the Paizo Execs: your website's issues are costing you sales. I wonder how many people leave after having pages fail to load, load slowly or have issues at checkout.
To the rest of Paizo's staff: sorry for the rant.
