Ok three episodes in and this story is pretty wild
Point 1 ) The Uploads - Three of these have been created and all three have slipped their leash so to speak. It's clear that despite the desires of the corporations involved, these beings can not be contained. Also the guy in charge of Alliance is Screwed, cause Chanda is going to be very very bitter. David volunteered and Nora was in a coma, but Chanda (and the remnants helping him) were flat out murdered and enslaved.
Point 2 )Caspian. I think I have figured out what is going on here, and it is just as messed up as the uploads.

So
There is a flaw in the system, Uploads are ultimately going to degrade, especially as they push themselves to do more and more.
Fixing this flaw is the whole reason for Caspian, but the company timetable on him has it at another 13 years, and that was assuming he never figured out his whole life was a lie, which he has and is on the run.
The Uploads are looking into how to fix the flaw themselves. There are 2 possibilities. A) push Caspian to do it and to be fair, after getting a look at them, Caspian may already be onto something B) Singularity. If several uploads merge themselves it is possible the flaw will get "forced out" the more uploads that merge the better their chances.
Meanwhile Chanda, thinking he was the only one, decided to fix that and has distributed the pans for the upload technology to major intelligence and academic organizations world wide. So the technology is now everywhere.
and the Clan, the weird blobby remnants that have been hanging around Chanda, Lori seems to think they are someone who is in the late stages of the Flaw. Which means they are either someone who pushed themselves really far really fast or they are someone who is older than she is. Chanda still thinks they are victims from the slums that his boss used as test subjects, but I'm starting to think they might be someone else, someone playing a long game.
and Chanda just made the Singularity option a lot easier
