If staff only remove the OP, then both the headline and the spam post itself remain visible.

Staff have repeatedly asked forum members not to reply to spam posts because it is more difficult to remove replies and (apparently) can't easily be done by lower level IT folks.

Well, in this case person one and person two appear to be the same.

It looks like the Paizo folks eliminated the thread but failed to ban the user who posted it.

My mistake. There were two different Paizo accounts involved.

And you're right. They removed the thread but left the account profile full of spam still online.
