By far a fan favorite, this archetype should be a class archetype kind of like how gunslinger had its own class archetype.

Can't make ranged attacks, gets shield block as normal, can wear heavy armor with proficiency equal to the normal proficiency of the class.

Provide alternative feats in addition to the class as well.


I wouldn't expect to see a Class Archetype in the playtest, but yes, this sounds fun.


Isn't this just connecting a string of Earth feats?

Like Earth Shield, Assume Earth's Mantle, and Rebirth into Living Stone?

Or am I missing something?


Don't forget Elemental Weapon to make a melee reach weapon like a whip, though this might involve a damage reduction unless you are doing Gnome Flickmace. To emulate the old Kinetic Whip.

Then the various multi attack feats like Blast Barrage and Chain Blasts, or more accurately Maelstrom Blast to emulate the old Kinetic Whirlwind.

Also Earth's Mantle kind of emulates the old Kinetic Form.

Of course that ends up being a ton of feats.

You are.

Kinetic Knight was for any elements, they had a teleport that dealt damage, they could create a whip that used blast damage, they had potentially the most HP in the game (d10+con+toughness+11*level regenerable temp HP), heavy armor proficiency, and shield proficiency.

By comparison what you described is 1 element, doesn't have heavy armor proficiency, doesn't have a teleport that deals damage, doesn't have the most HP in the game, whip doesn't deal blast damage.
