Mechs and Large PCs

I'm Planning a mecha game and one player wants to run a Shobhad.

Does His mecha need to be on size larger or It doesn't matter.

A large mech doesn't present any rules problems as theres no rule power armor has to be one size smaller than you.

Medium mech armor though....

Isn't the smallest Mech Huge?
