I was running Starfinder all weekend at a local convention, and we finally get to the Acquisitive mission in For the Factions. A vid show entertainer asks the player characters about their most memorable Starfinder Adventures so far, and all of my brand new players gushed about the interesting starship combats they were in.
I wanted to do a victory dance!

One of the small changes I made in a scenario is that the hair gel as a clue is literal.. its not just gel for hair (which I don't think would advance the plot as much as it does) but is literal hair gel: gel that turned into hair.
The Velociraptor looking android couldn't resist trying it out and made a mohawk. They liked the look and kept it. This is the result
Someone mentioned that they were a clone. They walked into a room with cloning vats, and I described their reflection in the glass so they could see their face over the growing clone blanks. When combat started they decided to spend the round in existential crisis...
