Burning Entanglement: Transmutation for roots, evocation for fire?

Rules Questions

Burning entangle: Evocation. All other entangle spells seem to be transmutation (in the druid's spellbook anyway).

"This spell functions as per entangle, except it sets the foliage on fire. A creature that begins its turn entangled by the spell takes 4d6 points of fire damage (Reflex half), and a creature that begins its turn in the area but is not entangled takes 2d6 points of fire damage (Reflex negates)."

Does that mean that the part that "functions as per entangle" requires a transmutation Reflex DC, followed by a Fire dmg Reflex DC on the creature's turn? Or is the whole thing evocation?

You've guessed it, my druid has greater spell focus in Transmutation.

Thanks!

What are "a transmutation Reflex DC" and "a Fire dmg Reflex DC"?

As written, when the spell is cast, when the caster turn ends, and when a creature enters the area it should make a Reflex save or be Entangled. (A bit strange, but, in theory, the round in which the spell is cast a creature could need to make two saves, one when the spell is completed and one when the turn end. Most GM would require only one save, as it is the same effect.)

Then, at the start of the turn of a creature in the affected area, that creature should make a Reflex save to avoid the fire damage. That save has no effect on the Entangled condition of the creature.

The spell can force several Reflex saves and can be a good area control spell against low-level goons or low strength characters.
