How is this intended to work, precisely?
The moment the players see the map, they're going to want to start moving their tokens through it, and will mentally start looking for the exit.
If I mask the map, such as be using Roll20's dynamic lighting, it doesn't feel much like a maze.
Do I just move the tokens in the right direction on every success, and in the wrong direction on every failure? If so, how far?
If the hazard works independently of the map, why is there a map at all?
How is it intended for a GM to run this?
