A question about ammunition with no magical trait.

Rules Discussion

It's written in Core Rulebook that magic ammunition having an Activate entry must be activated with additional actions before being used. So what is the magic ammunition?
The ammunition with magical trait or any ammunition written as Consumables?

If the latter, Black Powder (Dose or Round) is a type of ammunition with Alchemical and Consumable traits and has an Activate entry. Then what ridiculous is that with certain firearms, we need to use 3 Actions to fire.

If the former, how it work with the ammunition with Alchemical trait?

Besides, the gunslinger's feat 'ALCHEMICAL SHOT' has the Requirements as 'You have an alchemical bomb worn or in one hand, and are wielding a firearm or crossbow in the other'. Should I reload my firearm before using this?

Some examples:

Shining Ammunition does not have an Activate entry. It simply does its thing every time it is fired.

Beacon Shot does have an Activate entry. Activate: interact. So if you fire this ammunition without spending the interact action first, it won't do its thing. It will just be normal ammunition.

I have not played or GM'd a gunslinger yet, so caveats all around, however the long reset cycle makes sense at first glance. After all we are talking about blackpowder guns for the most part; muzzle-loaders, not repeaters. Readying one requires loading paper, powder, and ball, ramming with a rod, and priming before the gunner gets around to aiming and firing. It's not fast!

Aim and fire is probably the one Attack action, but I can easily see the rest of the process taking two actions (or more).

That means a Golarian gunslinger is more of the old "fire one-shot from each of two pistols, or barrels, then switch to the sabre" school, not a Western two-six-shooters on the hip sort of deal.

That assumes the usual adventuring party where everyone is mostly doing their own thing. One could also build a team of gunslingers and implement a firing line... two characters fire while two reload, switching places each time, ready-aim-fire-style. Even so that would usually only be a handful of shots before everyone said "the hell with it" and went to bayonets.

I seem to be missing an important part of this question. The activate on black powder is clearly for using the powder alone as an explosive, not as part of a gunshot. What firearms are you seeing that use just black powder as their ammunition, and not Firearm Rounds that require black powder as a component, but are themselves ammunition without an activate entry?

It's probably me missing it, not you.

Thank you for your answer. It's my fault not to present a clear question. Exactly, I mean to ask the definition of the magic ammunition.
