Would the first Paizo Product with a made by UPW logo become a collectors item?

I'll buy 2 of the first Paizo product that has that logo on it.

The next question is will it be on a Starfinder or Pathfinder book or adventure, I'm hoping they do a simultaneous release for both product lines for the first time it's added.

We all like Free RPG day, maybe this will lead someday to a Union-made RPG day.

Not sure if this is possible since most of the writing is done by freelancers?

You need scarcity for something to be a real collectible, which isn't something that really happens with products anymore, unless it is imposed artificially (with limited edition releases) or there is an accident (like a misprint) that only affects a small number of the books.

You're right but would still be interesting to see if it becomes a selling point

It actually happens quite frequently with Adventure Path volumes actually. They have limited print runs, and don't get reprinted. Just try to find Wrath of the Righteous Part Six for one example.

But it would not happen specifically with the union label, most likely. At some point, Paizo would go from no products having the logo to all of them having it. By the time that happens, it will probably have about as much value as being designated as a Pathfinder product vs. an "OGL" product (and maybe less, as it will say very little about the game mechanics or even the working conditions that the product was created under).

I'm not thinking in terms of collecting for value, but in terms of owning something that is making gaming history and for a good cause at the same time.

I belong to a union and no one runs out and buys our union T-shirts to show support for grocery workers, but people (self-included) are buying UPW mech in support of the UPW union. I remember when "OGL" rolled out I was excited but didn't run out and buy an "OGL" T-shirt, Something different is going on here and in a good way that could benefit everyone. This isn't just a great PR opportunity for Paizo but for unions in general. I'm now wondering if the UPW broke any speed records for forming a union.

What if the first products made with a union-made label were one-shot Starfinder and Pathfinder society scenarios where the PC has to help form a union. and make it available in print which would make it special for being both the first with a union label and only scenarios in print.

It wouldn't happen with the union label in general, but it would happen with the first product to have the union label, unless that happened to be one with recurring printing (rulebook or something).

This is so incredibly true, oh my gods for real, it took me nearly 8 years to finally track down all of the volumes of Council of Thieves in dead tree format. I have also considered trying to finish my Iron Gods AP line as well but just... haven't tried due to how hard and expensive it was for CoT.

I'd say a dollar bargain.
