Online PFS Guide or (printed) Pathfinder Lost Omens: PFS Guide

Pathfinder Society

Hi, really dumb question.
When playing, do I use the online guide as official or the store/published PFS guide for rules on how PFS works? Are they the same, or does a conflict in one supersede the other?

Thank you

Two separate things.

The Lost Omens PFS Guide is a resource that you can use in Organized Play. It gives a lot of background information on the Pathfinder Society. It also gives additional options, some requiring access, to use when playing in Organized Play.

The Guide to Organized play contains all the rules pertaining to Pathfinder Society Organized Play. It covers instructions for Players and GM's and what to expect when playing.

The Online Guide. Those are the rules for participating in the worldwide "Pathfinder Society Organized Play Campaign."

The Lost Omens Pathfinder Society Guide is a setting book that gets into the lore and background of the Pathfinder Society on Golarion. It is a general book for anyone to use. Even though the blurb for the book says

Quote:
this helpful volume is a must-have for participants in Paizo's massive Pathfinder Society worldwide organized play campaign

that's just marketing speak. It is not really "must-have" (required) to own the book to participate in Organized Play. And it won't give you the specific rules for playing in PFS (that's what the online guide does).
