Treat Deadly Wounds - SROs

Looking for some clarification on how Treat Deadly Wounds works when dealing with SROs.

I understand it uses Engineering instead of Medicine for the check. Where my brain is struggling is "DC is based on the medical equipment used".

Is this still a (basic/advanced) medkit, despite using Engineering? Thanks!

Might be

Or might worth with

engineering tools= medkit
Armor repair kit= advanced medkit
Machineshop= medical bay

RAW it still uses the medkit, because its "everything is the same except..." . SRO is also close enough to biology that its not unreasonable for some of the components of a first aid kit, duct tape and superglue , to work for them.

Since they can either be biolgical or mechanical, i don't think it would be unreasonable for either mechanics or med kits to work on them

Thanks! I think my GM is probably also happy for either, but I was flailing a bit on what does the engineering side upgrade to, especially with relatively limited familiarity with the race.

If only the SRO in question could get shot less...

Speaking of SRO's ours is a Solarian and his AC is no good... The amount of Resolve my Mystic has spend to keep him in the fight...
Half healing is not a great racial ability on your melee fighter.
I will say, I do like the SRO character, he just makes my Mystics job harder

If your mystic has the medic archetype, if you can get him back to staminia technically you'll start healing him at full speed for his staminia.
