Curse Focus:
Prerequisites: Must have an oracle’s curse.
Benefit: You treat your effective oracle level as 5 higher for the purposes of your oracle curse (maximum effective oracle level equal to your character level).

This doesn’t sound unbalanced, right? One of my players is planning on only taking a few levels of oracle, but wished there was a way to increase their curse faster, and I thought “why not just port over Curse Focus from VMC oracle”? It literally is a one for one trade with a feat normally, so it pretty much is a feat at the end of the day.

So ordinarily an Oracle's Curse levels up at 1/2 speed with non-Oracle levels, meaning you can take a 1 level dip into Oracle at character level 9 in order to get the 5th level advantage of a Curse (Oracle-1/Other-Class-8. 1 + 8/2 = 5). You don't get tye 10th level curse until character level 19 (Oracle-1/Other-Class-18. 1 + 18/2 = 10) and you jever get the 15th level benefit of the curse.
With this feat, you could take a 1 level dip into Oracle at level 5 to get the 5th level benefit of the curse (Oracle-1/Other-Class-4. 1 + 4/2 = 3, then +5 = 8, but is capped at character level, which is 5). You'd get the 10th level benefit of the Curse at level 10 (Oracle-1/Other-Class-9. 1 + 9/2 = 5.5, then +5 = 10.5. Technically you get to 10 at level 9, but it's capped at character level, so you have to wait till 10), and you'd get the 15th level benefit of the Curse at level 19 (Oracle-1/Other-Class-18, 1 + 18/2 = 10, then +5 = 15)
So you can get the 5th level benefit 4 levels early (at level 5). You'd get the 10th level benefit 9 levels early (at level 10) which is around when you'd normally get the 5th level benefit. You'd get the 15th level benefit at level 19, which is when you'd normally get the 10th level benefit.
That's basically the worst case scenario of someone taking this for a power option. Honestly, I don't see it as a particular problem. It's basically a feat to upgrade your Curse benefit 1 step for multiclass Oracles.
