Ship Tether / docking questions

Can a attached ship tether be used to tow a captured vehicle? like i have a aft mounted tether and captured/cleared the ship and want to take it with me for whatever reason?
Can two vessels "dock" with each other to tow one or to transfer personnel/cargo without use of a shuttle or other vehicle?
Can two "docked" together vessels move together?

This is probably straying into houserule territory. If it is important for the plot, sure. If not, probably best to leave it alone.

Docking with another ship to transfer cargo is probably fine.

Towing captured ships would be something needed for a piracy themed campaign. Other than that it just sounds like a way to allow the players to munchkin way too much equipment for their own ship.

Well it was mostly for bounty hunting/re-appropriating, situations where the vessel in question is more the target than its occupant(s), as well as they stumble across a "abandoned" or floating vessel (and while it does state in the Breaching Pod expansion bay that it could be used for that in no combat situations, not every vessel has a breaching pod) and pirating actions/potential fleet building. And just in general so that like a friendly ship (NPC/player, say a tiny fighter) wanted to meet up with the crew of a ship (say a medium transport) to catch up on old times or something.

It's your game. If you think it fits your campaign or if it's needed for the story, sure why not. :)
Especially if it fits the campaigns theme.

I think especially the starship rules can be easily modified without ruining the balance (as they are already f!$&ed-up as hell^^).
