So I guess we might not get a second season...

Just because there could be a movie with Cap doesn't mean there can't be a new season on TV also. They could even keep the title Falcon and Winter Soldier, but have it be the new Falcon, Joaquin Torres (which will presumably happen in the Cap 4 movie) with Bucky.

As for the movie, it would be a lot of fun if Ant Man shows up, pairing him with Falcon/new Cap again would be great.

I just wonder if who the villain will be and if that carries over from the TV show. Because, honestly I'd like to see Americop (the inc version) come the MCU.

You are probably right about there being a second season after all.

At the end of the show they changed the title to CAPTAIN AMERICA AND THE WINTER SOLDIER, which seemed to be an indication that that would be the name of any future second season.

Even so, Wert, I wasn't sure if that would be the case.

I certainly hope that if there is a second season, they don't simply give it the same title as the second Captain America film because of an on screen title card they used to signify Sam's acceptance of his new role.

Could that please stop being a thing you call me when you reply to me?

Does dp work better for you?

How about just using the profile name as presented.

Why do you need to do it at all??

Just use ‘reply’ like everyone else. Your insistance on not using ‘reply’ and instead using some cute variation of people’s screen name to directly address them is really odd and annoying, not to mention assumes a level of friendship and familiarity that does not exist and is fairly inappropriate. It also makes it harder to follow if your reply doesn’t directly follow the person you are replying to’s post. It’s one of the reasons FOR the reply feature!

There is no reason for you to always use people’s name at all - this is an online forum, please just use the reply feature as intended, like everyone else does, and stop trying to turn these forums into some sort of cute, 12-year-old’s club house hangout.

Problem solved

maybe I don't want to type all that? Is that something that ANYONE else considered? Also maybe I don't want to use the reply function.

But since dirtypool DID ask, I will a) refrain from using anything other than dirtypool and b) Marc need to start worrying less about how I address someone unless THEY bring it up. Like so.

dirtypool has less characters than both “the non-deadpool” and “non-deadpool” so, no it would not have occurred to me that you were trying to limit your typing

well I was in my own way, dirtypool. Whether or not Marc cares, I don't. But because you asked, I'll stick with what you asked.

I’ve actually seen a number of people ask you to stop doing it over the years, but for some reason you refuse.

Why would you refuse to use the Reply function? Everyone else on these forums does. Your refusal to do so makes no sense, and is actually a bit rude and inconsiderate, especially since people keep asking you to stop addressing them with cheesey nicknames.

You’re not writing a letter, you don’t need to address your posts to people.
Seriously, just stop using all the dopey nicknames and use the Reply feature like you are supposed to.

I appreciate your willingness to respect my wishes, but wouldn’t it be better to ask people’s permission to bestow a nickname on them?

I’m usually pretty forthright, but I felt awkward asking you to stop giving me a new fake name to replace my chosen fake name I gave myself. As a result I let it slide for a bit, others may feel the same but never feel comfortable to make the request.

dirtypool,

I figure my giving them nicknames is a way to humanizing things. Also I'm kind of the mind "Ask for forgiveness first before worrying about permission".

Marc,

I REALLY have no idea what you're talking about. I mean I serious do not recall ANYONE (other than you and now Dirtypool) asking me for that. So if you could find a specific instance...

I’m not going to search around for examples just to proove it to you.

What dirtypool said above is exactly right - giving dopey nicknames to people you don’t know personally on an online forum is rude and presumptuous of you. It isn’t humanizing, it’s cheesey and it very much goes against social norms. You absolutely SHOULD ask a person if they mind being adressed using a random nickname before you do it. Your “Ask for forgiveness first before worrying about permission" approach is childish and rude, and it puts everyone you do it to in the awkward position of having to decide if it annoys them enough to ask to you stop, just as dirtypool pointed out.

You wouldn’t do this in real life would you? If you entered a room full of people you barely know, would you start addressing them all with made up nicknames for some reason?

And you still haven’t explained why you don’t want to use the Reply feature. It’s there specifically so people don’t have to go through this. We’re not writing each other letters, you don’t need to address your posts to people.

Look, I don’t want to fight with you. I’m just trying to explain to you that your insistance on bucking the well-established way of replying to people on these forums by directly addressing your posts to people, especially with random nicknamess, instead of using the preferred Reply feature, is not ‘humanizing them’, it’s puttting each person you do it to in the awkward position of having to decide if they dislike it enough to ask you to stop, or just try and ignore it.

Maybe just knock it off all together and use the Reply feature like everyone else.

I’m not going to continue this with you, I think at this point you’re either going to listen to what people are saying (or thinking) and change, or you’re going to keep doing what you want.

I think the latter is more likely. So I guess that's it then.

Eh, we all have our quirks.

I prefer to let the little things go.

Except me. I'm perfectly and legitimately fine.

Yup, nothing weird about me.
