They're referring to the location in Book 3 on the irespan piling. I think it's in the description of the outside of the piling that there's lizards or geckos carved into the stone, but I'm not entirely sure.

Yup. Each of the Irespan pilings has carvings along its side that decorate it with a different creature. The Gecko has gecko carvings.
