PFS2 - rebuilding with old rebuild boon

I looked but wasn't able to find this information if it is out there.

I'm thinking of rebuilding my character.

I have the old boon (Pathfinder Character Rebuild) the one granted when ACP were just getting started) which has as its entire text
"Pathfinder Character Rebuild"

I know that the newer rebuild boons do NOT allow one to change ancestry or background (boo :-)).

So, my questions are

1) Is the older character rebuild still even legal to use? I have most definitely played the character recently
2) If it is, can I use it to change ancestry or background?

My recollection is you had to use the boon before playing the character again.

All of the old rebuild boons had to be used by a certain deadline which is now long past. The full rules for the rebuild boon were not printed on the PDF at the time due to technical limitations. They had to be used in conjunction with the blog post.
