The campaign I'm putting together for post-vaccine gaming is a heavy retooling of a campaign idea I ran years ago. Essentially, the heroes are going to stumble upon a "house outside of time", which has access to different dimensions, planes, and points of time. They would go on missions for the keeper of this house and fight against a recurring group of villains.
The new version dispenses with the NPC leader and instead gives the players full control of the house. They will need to travel to new areas to unlock more of the house, however, so there is a bit of prodding in a direction.
Another campaign I ran involved the players as freewheeling pirates going on adventure and get themselves into trouble. I accidentally recreated the plot of Metal Gear Solid and had the players infiltrate a base to defeat a giant cannon golem.

My current campaign is about a village that, overnight without anyone noticing, teleported to a completely different place in the world. Over time they've realized that the place they're now in is a long-abandoned kingdom whose land is only just now starting to be claimed by nearby forces. So they've been trying to establish relations with these factions while also managing the needs of their own people (at the moment, that need being food, since the move made them lose all their old trade routes).
(Hey, on the off chance any of my players read this, don't read what's in here:)
The party all grew up in the village together, and are all children of former adventurers. They're Ari Grimthane, human fighter with the marshal archetype. Vethani Bryant, human beastkin magus with the loremaster archetype. Dawn Morgan, human gunslinger with the ranger archetype. And Blaec Kythorn Cura Lustrare, human aasimar psychopomp sorcerer with investigator archetype.
The campaign is a hex crawl, and uses fast leveling (800 xp per level). Only level 3 so far due to running it biweekly. We use free archetype and a modified ABP along with 1e's plot twist cards.

The campaign I started a over year ago and that got delayed due to Corona and babies is just starting to take up pace again. ^^
The plot is basically Neon Genesis Evangelion in disguise.
Strange monsters attack a city and the PCs are tasked with defending it. Then they will (hopefully) discover that their employer is the cause for the monsters' attacks since the employer has a part of a once-dead Qlippoth chained up in the basement. The "monsters" are other parts that want to merge. No big mechas for now though.
Players wanted to play in a single location after a campaign of travelling (Reign of Winter) so they get to stay in the city and the monsters come to them for a change.
