How does Far Shot work?

Say I'm wielding a shortbow, which traditionally has a range increment of 60 feet.

Can I shoot my bow 120 feet per range increment, for 6 increments? Or is it 60 feet per range increment for 12 increments?

Your experience in the field has taught you how to focus your aim at a distance, increasing your accuracy. Double your weapons’ range increments.

Double range increment, still for 6 increment's. Otherwise the feat is practically useless, since at the 12th increment you'd be taking a -22, which is not a great look.

So the short bow would be 120 foot range, with a maximum range of 720, though at a -10 at that range.
