These are glorious!
One of those things I didn’t know I wanted until I saw them and they’ve immediately become essential. :)

I realise they’re especially well suited to different levels of a dungeon but I really hope they continue in other adventure paths. Such a great little reminder for the DM when running different sections of a module.

I appreciate it’s a tiny part of an adventure which is equally glorious throughout, but I really wanted to call out that specific innovation. (I suppose it could easily have appeared elsewhere first, but this is where I noticed it for the first time and it was a fantastic discovery).

A heartfelt thanks to whoever came up with this idea!

Can you go into further details as to what they are? Describing smells and sounds?

It is a clever feature added to the synopsis sidebar at the start of each chapter. It includes sensory descriptions as well as just generally setting description of materials. It is a really brilliant addition to the module.

I wholeheartedly agree! A very useful addition to set up the mood and elaborate on the descriptions!

Thank you, Steve Geddes, for mentioning the environmental cues and starting this positive feedback thread!

Here's the one from Chapter 3 (flipped open at random, there's a different paragraph for each level):

Spoiler:
Environmental Cues: books in untidy stacks, dust, looming shelves, musty mold, ruined tools and furniture, sounds of flipping pages, stink as of something rotting in a hidden corner, stuffy air.

It's the kind of thing I try and remind myself of when PCs enter different locations, but I tend to forget about it pretty soon after the adventure begins. These as touchstones throughout (one paragraph every dungeon level) are a terrific reminder to help set the mood - make every environment unique, not just another room with a different monster.

This is one of my favorite things in the book. Comparing AV to AoA the organization of the books got so much clearer and more Dm friendly. I love the direction they are taking
