Treasure is based on "Bundles". How much a character earns is depends on their level. So a 1st level "bundle" is worth less than a 4th level "bundle". But the amount earned is correct for the level of the character.
This information is found at the end of the adventure as well in the Guide.
For APs, the sanctioning document defines how much is earned.

It is based on the level the character receiving the chronicle. APs can generally be assigned to any character level. This is different from 1e.
That is why they say max gold for the level of the character.
So then completing an adventure path gives the same hold as completing a single adventure? Or does it triple?

Ah ha! The sanctioning document! That's the missing piece to my headache of a puzzle. And it is, going to be Extinction curse, which eill be my first time running pf2
Running that one now. Still in book one. Very fun and the circus part is surprising fun as well.
If you are using Roll20, it is well with the price to pay for the table from them. They did a great job in putting it together.
