Tried four times. it just pops me back to the password screen if I'm already logged in, so I logged out and tried from there and got sent back to the default page (the store blog, I think). And yes, it's the correct password.

Tried again this morning. Got logged in to the main account page, then kicked back to the login screen when I tried to access my order history. Verified that I can view most other pages under my account — subscriptions and downloads and so on. It's the order history that's the problem.

/agree Hawkmoon, annoyingly I can't replicate this one on the QA platform either. Hrm. Ed, can you give me the context on your attempt (e.g. Computer used (mac, pc, etc), browser used, # of goats sacrificed first, etc).
We've had some sporadic issues related to the, rather epic, number and size of the Golem sale orders but if that were the issue the problem would be rare and inconsistent. The fact that it seems to be reliable for you two makes this atypical.

OK, we think we know what's going on. Ed you have some fairly massive pending orders from the Golem sale. When our order history displays pending (not shipped) orders it recalculates the order from the bottom up (there are some technical reasons why this is a good idea, save vs sleep at -4 if I went into it here).
Basically the strain on the servers from the sale combined with your pending orders is timing out the page. Our QA platform didn't have your most recent orders, so it wasn't timing out. This will go away once the orders have shipped. Give it a day or two and things should be good again.
If you need to find out details of the order sooner than that, you can ping customer service and they can bring up your order in our admin tool (smaller audience, it can handle the load).
Do we know our infrastructure needs reinforcing? Yes
Do we have plans to address said issues? Yes, sadly overhaul at this level is a long term project and does not provide the immediate results both you and I would prefer. And in this case taking the time to do it right has to take priority.
I would give you secret details but Ninja Liz Could Be Anywhere......

Huh. Yesterday I logged in and got to the order history no problem, even with the same three orders still pending. One of them I got the shipping notice today, so I'm just waiting on the other two (one of which is the November subs).
