Astrazoan / Reptoid Change Shape and equipment / armor question.

Considering playing an Astrazoan for an upcoming AP but having some trouble figuring out whether I'll be able to use their racial abilities Change Shape and Compression.

In this thread ^, the designer of the Astrazoan explains that it is a non-magical Extraordinary ability, so Armor and clothes I wear will not change to fit my new form. I assume then that this goes for the compression racial ability too, I would have to take off my armor and clothes and equipment, compress through somewhere, and then be just a nude astrazoan with no gear on the other end.

Is there an armor upgrade or a magical item that allows my equipment to change with me when I use their change shape ability? Or will I have to;

1) Take my armor and clothes off,

2) Change Shape

3) Ask the party engineer to sit down and resize my armor (does this take as long as crafting armor? i.e. four hours?) and all of my equipment.

4) Put all my newly changed gear back on.

5) Repeat when changing again.

There isn't an upgrade to allow a suit of armor to still fit when an astrazoan changes shapes, as far as I know. However, there is shiftskin armor, which can be fitted to two different forms.

You can probably put all of your equipment in a null-space chamber to take with you when using the compression ability. You still have to put it back on on the other side, however.

If the astrazoan is a technomancer, then junk armor is probably an option.

When I played as an astrazoan, I had my armour fitted for a humanoid and then hung out on the ship with no armour on. But there are only a few ways as above to change armour to different forms.

I grant the astrazoan PC in my game enough leeway to rule that you can wear armor that's basically the same body type without adjusting it. (So she doesn't need to have the party mechanic adjust her armor every time she, say, switches between her two female damaya lashunta personas.)

Looking at how astrazoans are depicted in the few artworks we have, it is clear that they normally stand and ambulate in a manner similair to most bipedal humanoids. I could easily see an astrazoan wearing a piece or armor designed for humanoids as they can restructure themselves to fit it even if they aren't mimicking another creature.
