Wounded condition and magical healing

Rules Discussion

Just need some clarification...

Say a PC has the Dying condition, and is healed by a Cure Wounds for some HP back (not all). I know that he/she loses the Dying condition, but does the healing remove the Wounded condition as well? Or is that only removed thru Treat Wounds or full HP restoration (and 10 minutes rest)?

It's only removed through Treat Wounds or full HP restoration and some rest.

Not being removed by a Heal spell is kind of the whole point of the Wounded condition, I think. Getting taken down to zero HP doesn't become totally safe just because there's a cleric around.

The latter. The wounded condition ends if someone successfully restores Hit Points to you with Treat Wounds, or if you are restored to full Hit Points and rest for 10 minutes.

That's what I thought. Just needed to hear it from the most excellent community here!

Thank you for clarifying for me.

Yeah, there doesn't seem to be a way to get rid of Wounded that doesn't take at least 10 minutes.

Pretty sure that's intentional design.
