Lost Omens world map scale missing?

Does anyone know why there is no scale printed on the world maps in the CRB and LOWG? I can use the maps from 1e as references, but a scale seems like it should be a standard feature of maps.

Given that they're the same map re-printed, I reckon it was just an oversight that they lack a scale bar and compass rose.

The 10 meta-regions maps in LOWG do have both, though, and the smaller scale means they're probably more useful for your purposes.
