Hello!
I am adding compatibility to Pathfinder Society 2e into my electronic product (TOS 2nd PRO edition)
I see that characters can buy Boons, but also gain Boons from playing scenarios, making it possible that a higher level PC has A LOT of Boons!
My question is:
In the new rules of PFS2e, is there a LIMIT to the number of Boons a player can access for his character during a PFS gaming session?
OR does his Character have access to ALL the boons the Character currently gained in all its previous sessions (even if that is 20, 30+ boons possible)?
Thanks for the help!!

Under the new guide, they have access to all their boons at the start of the scenario, but as they use some, that may block others from being used. Ie only one advanced boon can be used per scenario. Only one pawn may be placed by an Ally boon per scenario, etc. Only one promotional boon.

Oh. And. There is also a pseudo-limit on Ally Boons, somewhere between 0 ≤ X ≤ ∞, where X is the number of Ally Boons that place additional pawns on the battlemap, subtracted from the number of additional pawns you already have on the battlemap, which is capped at two, but can't consist of both a Familiar and an Animal Companion, or an Animal Companion and a Bonded Animal, or two Familiars.

Your character is also a pawn... You can have 2 pawns, including your character. Not 2 additional pawns.

This is the most accurate statement of the rules.

This is a bit off-topic, but the current version of the Guide (I just checked) reads "no character can place more than 2 pawns", which would mean a max of three pawns allowed (1 for your character, plus 2).
And the "most accurate statement" would also have to include a limit of one Hireling, since that is also written in the current version of the Guide.
(If either of those points are untrue, then the wording of the Guide needs updating)

I'm no PFS expert (started a couple of weeks ago) but doesn't that means that a player needs to track/note/manage an ever growing pool of boons as he levels up?
AND he needs to do this for EACH of his character as well...!
Tracking boons doesn't appeal much to me... and I suspect this is true for others as well - some in the Org Play Online channel mentioned they just ignored some boons... ehhehe

Yes, you will get more boons as you level up. However the season one model of 'pick the 4-5' you want to use at the start of the scenario can start to suffer from how long it takes to start at the beginning of the scenario (SFS sees this more than PFS2, with its larger stable of boons, especially how they interact with starship issues). It can also lead to people slotting a certain set of '100% useful/but weaker" boons since you don't want to gamble on one of the more interesting situational ones popping being relevent.
The new model is closer to the PFS1 model, which did have some mid-game issues of people needing/wanting to look through their stack of boons when a unique situation came up, but I think the developers have learned over the seasons and I think they'll handle it better.
I think the decision to switch back to the older model is designed to avoid front-loading too much stuff -- let people get into the scenario faster, especially when there's newer players at the table.

"Needs"? No. Only if they want to.
AND [they] needs to do this for EACH of [their] character as well...!
Cloud spreadsheets are super easy to maintain.
Tracking boons doesn't appeal much to me...
Then don't?

The idea is that PFS is moving away from the "once in a blue moon" chronicle boons (You get +2 to this one skill in this one town when dealing with this problem.) and more toward character build boons "You add this to your list of options" or general utility boons.
As such, Players are much more able to determine, when they get the boon, whether it will be useful for that character or not, and either add it to their tracking, or just ignore it. Additionally, many boons will (hopefully) be things that they do not need to interact with during game.
