Magus Class

Fun idea. Magus character with a wizard in their party. Magus casts fiery body activates spell parry and moves into the enemies. The wizard reigns down fireballs. Make the save immune to the damage. Next turn you get a free fireball spellstrike with an extra damage die

I don't believe this is legal, the trigger reads:

Quote:

You succeed at your save against a foe’s harmful spell

targeting you

AoE spells target a square, not a person.

Also, fireball itself is not legal for use with Striking Spell, for the same reason (Striking Spell requires a spell "that can target one creature or object").

Fine ruiners of fun! Elemental form - earth or damphir heritage and horrid wilting.

puts on fun ruiner hat

Dhampirs are only healed by effects that heal undead and not just negative energy damage. Otherwise it would be possible to spam Chill Touch on Dhampir for full healing.

Note that the Harm spell specifically says “heal undead” and not “deals negative energy damage”.

Elemental Form is a “you” spell so there’s no way to be the target of it without casting it.

I’m sorry I’m the way I am...

Also it does specify foe’s harmful spell. I don’t think your wizard party member is a foe.

Better to clear that up now thent o let the character walk into a trap and be very disappointed about the outcome in the middle of the game session

I understand how negative healing works. I wasnt insinuating it would heal, they are immune to the damage though. And elemental form is an arcane spell of 5th level so was assuming casting himself.

The feat does say foe however so gonna have to change it to a long time married couple that hate each other but still adventure because its what's best for their kids.
