How would you build an Iruxi magus?

The iruxi have a level 1 class feat for a 1d8 unarmed attack. How can I leverage that as a magus?

Building out to level 8 for a playtest session next week.

Slide Casting is designed to work with unarmed strikes. What are you talking about?

I thought it required a one handed weapon

It requires you to have a hand free, which doesn't exclude situations in which both hands are free.

I thought it required a one handed weapon
