It seems to me that the point of this class is to be a team, two parts of the same whole. But what is the summoner bringing to the table?
There are plenty of options for the eidolon but not the summoner. On an average adventuring day a you’ll probably have between 4 and 10 rounds of combat . That means at most a summoner can cast 1 or 2 spells before they have to stop for a Gatorade .
When the magus runs out of spells you can always just stab stuff, but what about the summoner? They sent really equipped to fight. Sure you could just have your eidolon use all your actions but it feels wrong to have one half of a team class be so vestigial.
