The Elemental Wizard

Conversions

I was hoping to find this in The advanced Player's Guide 2E. But Alas It does not appear to be in there, So I was wondering if there was a future product that might cover this?

I Had a character I wanted to Convert to 2e, He was a carry over from 2nd edition AD&D. I converted him to 3.5 then Pathfinder 1e, and used him in the Shattered Star Campaign. He is basically a Lesser noble wizard, with Some training in sword use, his specializes in fire elemental magic. When I Moved him over to pathfinder 1E, I changed his backstory
he was placed in the famous Golem works in Magnimar, before a fight with his family forced him to travel, so he left joining a ship to Osirion seeking to study fire elemental Magic.

So the long and the short of it, I was wanting to create a 5th Level version of him for Pathfinder 2E. And since the players guide in 1e introduced the elemental magic, I had hoped it would be the same for 2E. Since that does not appear to be the case, I was looking for suggestions?

First, this may or may not work for the character, but how would you feel about rebuilding him as a fire elemental bloodline sorcerer? That would keep you within the rules.

Second, if you or your GM want to homebrew something, I don't think it would be too hard to make a PF2E equivalent of the PF1E fire specialist wizard. Like a PF2E school specialist, you'd get an extra slot every spell level to use for spells with the fire trait. For wizard specialist focus spells, without having thought too much about it, I would use elemental toss as the 1st level focus spell and either elemental motion or elemental blast as the 4th level focus spell. (Those are what the elemental bloodline sorcerer gets at 1st, 3rd, and 5th level.)

Edit: Depending on the character's feel, you may also want to take a look at the flames oracle focus spells.
