I tried to change my email for this account to an address containing paizo before the @ symbol in the address, and was given an error message that it was not recognized as a valid email address. I don't know what arbitrarily defined validation rules are in place, but I assure you that it's an email address that I can receive mail at.
Could a fix be put in place so that I can change my email address to my preferred email for this site?

Thanks so much for your patience as we have had a large influx of messages. It looks like the email address you were trying to set for your account is already associated with a different account in our system. If you send an email to custimer[dot]service[at]paizo.com from that email address requesting the account be closed, you will be able to change the email on your current account.
