Veil and size differences.

You instantly change the appearance of the subjects and then maintain that appearance for the spell’s duration. You can make the subjects appear to be anything you wish. The subjects look, feel, and smell just like the creatures the spell makes them resemble. Affected creatures resume their normal appearances if slain. You must succeed on a Disguise check to duplicate the appearance of a specific individual. This spell gives you a +10 bonus on the check.

Say a creature uses veil to become a creature of a different size, does it change size as long as the spell isn't revealed as an illusion? Or a non-humanoid becomes a humanoid, same dif?

As an example, say an aboleth uses it's veil spell-like ability to assume the shape of a human, what happens when he walks into a building or picks something up? Is it right to assume that the illusion is so powerful that it can 'bend' reality in a way?

Grand Lodge

It doesn't change size or alter any of its physical abilities, but subjects see it as a different size and form. An aboleth, for example, would have to slither along the floor and squeeze through a double door, leaving a trail of slime, then could easily pick up the dining table 10 feet away with its tentacles, but an onlooker would see its human form calmly stroll through the door, reach improbably far and perform an impossible feat of strength.

When running this spell to have a Large creature standing in a confined area appear as Medium, I've allowed players to move their miniatures apparently "adjacent" to it and stand them in its space, then when they detected the illusion, shifted them to their actual position. The spell didn't bend reality, but it did alter the subjects' perceptions, even of their own position and actions. The Large creature, of course, remained fully capable of attacking from its normal space out to its normal reach.
