Can you poach certain clothing bonuses with the glamered rune on your armor? For example, if I'm wearing glamered full plate, can I make it look like high-fashion fine clothing and get the item bonus to Make an Impression on the upper class that is common to high-fashion fine clothing?
As it's illusory, I don't imagine I could get the winter outfit's defense against cold weather, but I think certain other bonuses (as above) would certainly be reasonable.

Interesting, it never occurred to me that, that might be a specific reference to existing items rather than general usage of the English language.
Are you sure? After all, if we're going to rely on strict game terminology to answer this question, then you should know that there are no "ordinary clothes" or "fine clothes" anywhere in the equipment chapter. There's just "ordinary clothing" and "fine clothing."
The game developers have been quite strict when it comes to their use of rules terminology, even going so far as to capitalize the first letter of many rules terms, which isn't the case here.
Not saying you're wrong, just that I don't believe your choice of logic to be full proof.

There are basically two possibilities here:
ONE) the words "ordinary or fine clothes" are included in the description text for a reason.
TWO) those words have literally no purpose being there because they have no meaning in context.
Because what else, if not meaning to reference ordinary and fine clothing but using the common synonym 'clothes' instead of the exact word, could those words be explaining?

This isn't the first time someone has explained clothing as a category of item and listed the actual items tied to the rules to Ravingdork in the last 30 days.
Where I provided the table to explain that clothing is a category of item
