Maybe I'm missing something from Return of the Runebois, but is there a canon, in-world writeup on why, as far as Sandpoint, Light of the Lost Coast is concerned, Ameiko is still running the Rusty Dragon?
Given the plot of Jade Regent, I would have assumed she'd be... not there? My party is playing through Rise, and then going to do Return, and I kinda wanna have some lore-friendly explanation for where Ameiko is.
Note that I HAVE NOT played Jade Regent and to be fair it will probably be eternity before I have time, and I'm a forever-DM so if there's some spoileriffic stuff involved, I'm all ears.

The book is set in the time between Rise of the Runelords and Jade Regent. Ameiko is still in town. That said, I do talk a little bit about what happens to her manor and the Rusty Dragon once she leaves town for Jade Regent. The book assumes Rise of the Runelords has happened, but that's pretty much the only assumption.
This was James Jacobs' response in the product thread itself. He did say that there is a little bit of information about it once she leaves town for Jade Regent, but as I haven't read my PDF of it, I'm not sure where that is.

The books in PF1, for the most part, did not advance the timeline. All, adventures and one or two other exceptions aside, 'take place' right prior to the PF1 adventures as a whole.
So, as noted above, that book is pre-Jade Regent even if written after it. As are basically all PF1 books.
PF2 has updated the timeline with all the PF1 stuff, but the Sandpoint book is a PF1 product and adheres to that standard.

For that matter, who owns, runs, and indeed works at the Glassworks (and owns the land it's built on) as of 4720?
The word choice is what it is because I was answering a question that used that word. There was not intended to be an implied secret or lore dodge in the word choice.
BUT: Ameiko signed it over to Bethana. She owns the place now.
The Glassworks is not in operation as of 4720; it's still owned by Ameiko, but it's boarded up and still hautned.
At least, those are my off the cuff decisions as of right now. If/when we ever do a "Update Sandpoint to the current in-game year" project, and if I'm the one to write it, that'll be the point where I'll make those decisions... but in as many possible cases as I can, those decisions will not invalidate what's in the 96 page softcover, which I'd love to keep as up-do-date for the town.
Whether or not we ever go back to Sandpoint, I dunno. There's a lot of momentum and desire, both in-house and from customers, for us to go new places in Golarion for now.

Thank you so much for this reply, honestly. (It's surreal reading your reply while hearing your voice on Band of Bravos simultaneously, as an aside) Everyone loves Bethana so that's a good thing she's still around. (How long DO halflings live!?)
My table has only recently gotten around to doing Rise --> Return, so Sandpoint is pretty new to us, as strange as that probably is. Really love how absolutely in depth the book on it is, and how lived-in the place feels.
As much as I would love to see more of the world, my table first fell in love with the world via Korvosa and Crimson Throne, and I cannot WAIT to get back there in Return and let them see statues of their previous PCs. Thanks again for the quick reply!
