What is going on with Educated Assessment, the feat from the Pathfinder Agent archetype?
Educated Assessment Single ActionFeat 12
UncommonArchetypeSecret
Source Character Guide pg. 112
Archetype Pathfinder Agent
Prerequisites Pathfinder Agent Dedication
You attempt to Recall Knowledge about a creature, and the GM uses the same secret roll result against the creature’s Deception or Stealth DC, giving you the information from a Battle Assessment. You might get a different degree of success on the Recall Knowledge check than what you get for the Battle Assessment. If you have the Battle Assessment feat, you gain the effects of Educated Assessment whenever you Recall Knowledge (such as with the Automatic Knowledge feat).
Battle Assessment Single ActionFeat 4
RogueSecret
Source Core Rulebook pg. 184
With careful observation during battle, you identify an enemy’s strengths and weaknesses. The GM rolls a secret Perception check for you against the Deception or Stealth DC (whichever is higher) of an enemy of your choice who is not concealed from you, hidden from you, or undetected by you, and who is engaged in combat. The GM might apply a penalty for the distance between you and the enemy. The enemy is then temporarily immune to your Battle Assessment for 1 day.Critical Success The GM chooses two of the following pieces of information about the enemy to tell you: which of the enemy’s weaknesses is highest, which of the enemy’s saving throws has the lowest modifier, one immunity the enemy has, or which of the enemy’s resistances is highest. If the event of a tie, the GM should pick one at random.
Success The GM chooses one piece of information from the above list to tell you about the enemy.
Critical Failure The GM gives you false information (the GM makes up the information).
So... huh?
Does Educated Assessment automatically give the Battle Assessment feat (which would have been much simpler to say) or does something else happen? I can't figure this one out.

Educated Assessment gives you the effects of both a Recall Knowledge Action and a Battle Assessment Action in a Single Action.
If you are a Rogue that has both Feats, you also gain the effect of Battle Assessment whenever you make any Recall Knowledge Action.

Educated Assessment is its own Action. So, for example, Automatic Knowledge allows you to Recall Knowledge as a Free Action once per Round. The Recall Knowledge Action is not the Educated Assessment Action, so you would not get a Battle Assessment on that Action, unless you had both Educated Assessment and Battle Assessment.

Another example is if you had Hunt Prey, Monster Warden, Battle Assessment, and Educated Assessment. Whenever you Hunt Prey, you'd get the effects of Educated Assessment.
As well as kicking in when you use recall knowledge (e.g., in a spell such as Hypercognition) it presumably applies outside combat if you use recall knowledge.

Just want to reiterate what most of you seem to know, but which somebody skimming the thread might not pick up:
Educated Assessment is its own action, not working during other actions unless you also have the Battle Assessment Feat. Having that triggers the last clause of Educated Assessment, allowing its use during any Recall Knowledge (which can often be a part of another action).
So Pathfinder Agents interested in this feat really, really want to be a Rogue or have a Rogue MCD to pick up Battle Assessment.
