Google slides?

I've signed up on Warhorn to play a scenario and have been informed that it uses something called Google Slides for the game. How does this work? What are Google Slides?

It is basically Google's online version of Power Point.

Without knowing more, I would assume that the GM is using it for the scenario's maps.

The map is on google slides , the voice and dice are probably on discord.

here's one from a play by post

Only thing you need to use Google Slides is a browser, so assuming you've got a decent one installed, there's no need to worry. You can check BNW's link above to make sure!

Oh, we used that in the one PbP I've played. I didn't know what it was called or that you could use them in "real time". Thanks. I still have to figure out how we're doing the character sheet, et al.

online the character sheet is generally whatever the player uses. The only time i look at an entire character sheet is when I'm making someone's roll20 token for them

I thought you needed to have a character sheet that the GM could see and check.

The DM can ask for one if they want, but however you have it stored is fine. I've gotten characters as pictures of dead tree with pencil writing, herolab print outs, pdfs, roll 20 sheets, cuniform...

One thing you can do is put your character sheet on the character’s profile, like this one.

It, if you are concerned, i would message the GM

As someone with at least a passing familiarity with Akkadian, I would dearly love to see the cuneiform character sheet ;-)

I only have it on my phone on Pathbuilder and here. The game is through Warhorn.
