My players fought a greater barghest.
The barghest's poison ability says "Its jaws deal 1d6 additional poison damage and 1d6 persistent poison damage."
However, under Afflictions it says "Diseases and poisons are types of afflictions..."
It also says "When you’re first exposed to the affliction, you must attempt a saving throw against it. This first attempt to stave off the affliction is called the initial save. An affliction usually requires a Fortitude save, but the exact save and its DC are listed after the name and type of affliction. Spells that can poison you typically use the caster’s spell DC."
"On a successful initial saving throw, you are unaffected by that exposure to the affliction. You do not need to attempt further saving throws against it unless you are exposed to the affliction again. "
So...
Since the Barghest's poison doesn't list a save DC, does the creature bitten by the barghest get a poison save? Or just take the damage?

Assuming you're talking about the Fangs Mutation, it does not inflict a Poison Condition, it simply deals Damage of the Type Poison, so there is no Save, aside from the standard Flat Check you get after taking Persistent Damage.
For an example of something that inflicts a Poison Condition, take a look at the Viper.
Viper Venom (poison) Saving Throw DC 16 Fortitude; Maximum Duration 4 rounds; Stage 1 1d8 poison (1 round).
