But what does that actually mean? For example, are ratial feats something that requires you to be alive? Or is there a trait that says that?

Given that the example Ghosts are clearly Human, but don't have either the Human or Humanoid Traits, a Goblin Ghost would lose the Goblin Trait, which would make it ineligible for Goblin Ancestry Feats.
