Elemental Sorcerer question

Rules Discussion

I read through some posts here about the elemental sorcerers and the (*) spells and how they are changed.

I want to be sure I am reading the rules and the general consensus correctly. The changes the elemental sorcerers make to Burning Hands and Fireball does NOT remove the fire trait from the spells, they are essentially "fire" spells that deal bludgeoning damage, correct?

So a creature immune to fire would still be immune to the effects of an "Airball"/"Waterball"/"Earthball", correct?

Thanks for your time and any clarity you can bring here for me.

Not sure if you missed the Errata completely, or just overlooked the part relevant here...
FYI the PDF Errata document is available from the Core Rulebook product page (and has been integrated into archive of nethys and Paizo's CRB PDF).
Here is the relevant passage with the updated/Errata'd text bolded by me.
EDIT: If you can't see bolded text like I can't for some reason, it is the last sentence starting with "Replace".

Quote:
At 1st level, choose the type of elemental that influenced your bloodline: air, earth, fire, or water. If your element is air, you buffet your foes with powerful winds; if it’s earth, you toss huge chunks of rock; if it’s fire, you incinerate your foes with flame; and if it’s water, you inundate your foes with torrents of water. For fire, all marked spells deal fire damage. For other elements, they deal bludgeoning damage. Replace any existing elemental traits with the trait of the element you chose.

I think that's clear enough...

(So basically before the Errata, the rules as written did work like you stated, but that wasn't intended so they fixed it)

Thank you so much! I COMPLETELY missed the ERRATA.

Thanks again!

And yes that is clear enough
