Well, I went and bought a tablet just so I could have all the PDF books when playing Starfinder. But, being a dinosaur, I still like reading an actual book. So now I have wound up buying all of the hardbacks as well. They will stay at the house but I have to admit it seems a bit strange to have bothered to get them in both.

I don't buy as many dead tree format gaming books as I used to, mainly because dragging them along to games was becoming backbreaking. A tablet is really convenient for that.
Now that I'm gaming on roll20 so much, it's easier/lazier to just grab a pdf or look things up in Nethys than to walk 2m to my bookcase and look it up.

The way the subscription is set up, you get a PDF for every physical book you get through the subscription. Unfortunately, Paizo's overseas shipping is frighteningly expensive.

I have I have the dead tree versions of all the rulebooks and adventure paths. I just like having the feel of a book in my hand when I read.
I also have PDF versions for my gaming sessions, because it is so much quicker to look something up on a PDF than flipping through a book.
So I do pay for both.
