Druidic Herbalism: Clarification and Planning Around Errata?

Advice

So I recently took on interest in the Druidic Herbalism facet of the class and thought it'd be really cool. I've been told about and read up how broken this feature is and I acknowledge that. I've also been told that Paizo has plans to gut this from Druid entirely and rewrite it from the ground up in June, which effectively makes what I wanted to make useless in two months.

Can anyone give me clarification on how this feature is being changed? Is there a way to still be an effective potion maker as a druid without this class feature if it's gutted to hell and back in June?

Can druids make effective/decent potion makers and do well economically or is it a pointless endeavor? I wanted to use the potions to bolster crops and improve an area in which I'd grow more ingredients to self-produce material components.

Also does the free potion portion of the feature demand that I follow potion creation time constraints?

( I dont know why my post was put on the forum twice im sorry)

Where did you hear that they were planning on doing this for a 1E class when their focus is on 2E?

And it DOES sound fairly useless except during downtime...until you get to 7th level or whatever level lets you make one in a matter of minutes...

A friend said this to me but I have no idea where on the FAQ I'd find plans to errata this class, and last I check they're still making content for 1E aren't they? Do you know where I can read plans for errata/current errata and whatnot?

I don't see anything for 1st Edition. And there definitely aren't plans for "fixing" old classes.

If there's a plan to redo Druid it's the 2E Druid.

If you're worried about using the character in PFS, well you just have to make sure the GM is on-board with how it works (I don't play PFS so I don't know how brewing the potions would actually play out). The free potions I believe say they follow the same rules as Brew Potion but since the specific trumps general that just means you have to discharge the spell into the potion, not that the general rules for item creation mean the feature is bugged.

Thank you very much!

Crafting feats aren't allowed in Organized Play. Druidic Herbalism doesn't have the "PFS legal" mark at aonprd.com, so I don't believe it's allowed either.

Good point; I was thinking in terms of some home GMs using PFS rules.
