Cache Concentration on indefinite spells

Rules Questions

Cache Concentration uses the max duration of the spell. Microbot Assault has no max duration.

Could I spend a resolve point to extend microbot assault, then rest to regain spells and resolve while still keeping microbot assault?

RAI: no.

Effectively you are gaining another spell effect for free. That qualifies as munchkinry in my world. Your gaming table can rule differently if you like.

RAW: I don't see any text that says it wouldn't work.

Well it isn't free. You have to dedicate your hack to it.

I don't see how yu would gain much from this, since microbot assault would just hang it in place, if there are no hostile creatures to move to.

I agree

If no creatures are within the cloud’s area, the microbots pursue and harass the nearest creature that is hostile to you as best they can each round. Although the microbots generally know which creatures are your enemies, you have no control over their targets or direction of travel.

They would just sort of float there while you rested, and just remain floating at your resting location while you went adventuring.
