Just an item that popped into my head and i figured I'd share and see if anyone sees a problem with it.
Vest of disarming
Slotless
The original vest of disarming was created by a wizard as a prank for a friends birthday. Since them mant of these in different styles have been made for thieves with a sense of humour or hoping to seem impressive.
When the wearer of a vest of disarming is searched it creates a number of weapons in varied styles equal to 3 times the rogues level for the searcher to "find". This ability can also be willingly triggered by the wearer as they disarm themselves.
These weapons deal no damage (things that add damage e.g. power attack or dex bonus are also reduced to 0 if used with one of these weapons) and vanish 24 hours after creation.

Why slotless? Other magical vests are typically the chest slot.
Other than creative uses, like using said weapons to pretend to attack other people, or selling the weapons to a shady vendor, I don't see many problems.
Maybe give it a small bonus for actually hiding weapons (needle in a haystack) or intimidation but only vs gate guards.
Mainly slotless as its not supposed to be anything other than humourous si I didn't ant it to take item slot. So its slotless in the way one of Bsba Yagas rings is.

I get that it's a gag item, but will treat it semi-seriously. Vests take up slots without a good reason. Joke item is not enough when you could just make it a slotless item, like a brooch or pin or scarab or pants (which don't use a slot.) Otherwise I expect the cost of being slotless to factor into the vest's cost (not that we're bothering with price).
Also, the wording implies it only works for those with rogue levels. Seems a bit restrictive without a good explanation.
Even then that's 3 to 60 random weapons. I think just making it a set number like 5 (or the item's CL) would be just as effective(as long as it was at least 3rd).
I get making the weapons ineffective, but that's still up to 60 weapons someone could try to sell over 24 hours (subject to the local economy and merchants). It's a gag..don't turn it into a scam. A one minute to five minute duration is more than adequate to get the joke. Otherwise have them be obvious forgeries if examined or just vanish of they are are attempted to be sold.
I specifically said it was slotless in the same way one of Baba Yaga's rings is. That is even though its a vest it doesn't take up a slot like one of her 3 rings doesn't.
No not just rogues I can make that plainer.
I assume any vendor is going to make an appraise check and realize they're not real weapons. Again I can make that clearer by giving it an appraise DC 15 check to determine they're not real.
