It's probably been addressed in an earlier thread but I could not find it but is there any information on international shipping prices and a way for paizo to lower the excessive fees. I am happily an AP subscriber and I love receiving my books, however, I cannot in good conscience subscribe to other subscriptions as sometimes the shipping can be as much, if not more, than the product listed.

If possible I'd also love to see a clearer way to see shipping costs on certain items rather than having to go all the way through the ordering system before I can find out. Maybe a price chart as I understand that below a certain weight it's only around $5 but over that and it balloons.

I don't want to be seen as complaining, just feel like unfortunately more international and in my case, European customers get a little screwed compared to American customers.


Here is the most recent comment I could find Vic Wertz making on International Shipping.

Long story short, USPS used to offer slow-but-cheap shipping (surface mail) internationally but eliminated that option several years ago. If a package weighs more than 4 pounds, it has to go by International Priority.

Off and on, they have offered UPS as an international shipping option, but it is notably more expensive than USPS (if quicker).

Paizo's shipping rates are calculated to cover their costs and the costs of the packing material. You can go to the USPS website and enter your destination to get an idea of what the actual costs will be (though it varies by weight and size, not the price of the product). Basically, the US Postal Service charges a lot more than they used to for shipping overseas.

Thanks so much for your patience. Joana is correct in that the prices we have very closely reflect the pricing of our shipping providers. We don't make a profit on shipping, and we charge slightly more than the prices quoted by USPS because part of that cost covers packing material and pay for our warehouse staff.

While we would love to be able to provide more shipping information before the checkout stage, our team unfortunately does not have the capacity to implement that at this time.
