Throw an object to someone

Rules Discussion

Are there any rules about someone tossing an object to someone else and that person catching it? I assume athletics would be involved?

No.
That's a fairly specific event. And there will be too much variance as to what's thrown and under what conditions that would make it hard for Paizo to adjudicate from afar.

So sure, why not Athletics? A ranged attack roll could work too to get it there accurately for the catch. Both should be relatively easy.
I might have catching use up the target's Reaction (unless they had a Readied Action or the first person threw w/ a Readied Action on the target's turn.)
If you need to simulate more extensively, like for a sporting event that ran one play at a time, you'd likely have to build a mini-ruleset.

I believe it's an interact action to toss and another interact action on the part of the catcher to receive.

The check, if any, depends on the GM I'd guess.
