Last weekend, out of frustration with my existing spreadsheet based approach, I began developing a character/scenario management tool. I know about (and use) PFSTracker, but it covers a different use case -- its mainly player-centric rather than character-centric.

Looking for a little feedback on the use cases to help decide if I build it just for myself/share with a few friends, or launch it as a service for the community.

The initial questions it seeks to answer
-- What scenarios can each of my characters play (or accept GM-chronicle) (currently ignoring Nova/boon/etc replay options)
-- What characters can play each scenario
-- at a player level -- what scenarios are available to me (PFSTracker already answers this one)

My current version handles level tracking to list which scenarios are too high (but possible in the future) or too low (never playable by this character). It understands repeatable/evergreen. It understands the different systems (PFS/SFS/PFS2)

Things I'd like to add:
-- replay tracking
-- faction/fame/reputation
-- list of boons from chronicles assigned to character
-- list of items from chronicles available to character

While those last two items are probably useful to everyone, most of the features are really centered around people who both GM & play and run into more complicated tracking than people who only (primarily) do one or the other.

Thoughts from y'all?

I think the PFStracker already implements an amount of this functionality, including some stabs at per-character info. Also, it's gained wide adoption. Maybe it's worth taking a look at whether it could be extended with this?

You can take a look at the source code on github, maybe it's something you feel comfortable working with?

Since you specifically bring up replay, one feature I've been asking for the tracker is the ability to mark whether you can and want to replay something;

Can: haven't received replay for it already, unless it's evergreen.
Want: willing to spend a replay (or Jadnura replay with a specific character), or happy to replay an evergreen.

There's no character support for PFS2 at present. I'll create a PFS1 character record on there tonight to see if that fits my use cases. Its also just been so slow that its been very frustrating. Though I knew the slowness was recently addressed.

I poked around the PFSTracker code last night, doesn't seem to support the things I'd like to do; and there's not a clean way, in my eyes, to add the types of functionality/user interface I'd like without causing problems with the existing UI. Seems like the best approach for me, is to make my tool for myself/a few friends and not really worry about launching a new tool to the community.
