Christopher Tolkien has passed away today at the age of 95. Thank you for all the work you did for your father's legacy, and for us.

The Road goes ever on and on,
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Christopher Tolkien's work to preserve and edit his father's papers was a lifelong effort of love. It is truly amazing the amount of material we now have access to because of him.
