campaign in darkmoon vale

Hi everybody,
it's my first time here and I've never posted something in english before, so please be patient with language problems.

I am planning a campaign located in falcon's hollow in darkmoon vale. I try to get all Informations together out of the various sourcebooks and build a nice story. Now I'm out of ideas what I make of the secret of the Kreed family. First the attic whisperer in 4631 to 4641. There is the terrifying event at the abandoned cutyard in 4653, the petrified? daddy of Thuldrin Kreed in the old manor, the dead of all other ruling families of falcon's hollow following this mysterious event. Kreed beeing more and more cruel on the one hand and helping people on the other hand.

Has anyone an idea what can be the reason for all this? I want to solve this riddle in an adventure around level 12.

this is my question as well. Is there any adventure that explores the abandoned cutyard? If not, what would you put as the "secret of what evil sleeps in the old cutyard"?
