Forced Mounted rule for landing or teleporting on a creature

Rules Discussion

which rule to follow when jumping on the back of a creature, (by teleporting on it, or landing on it after flying). the rule: falling on creature, or rather this referred to an attempt to grab? or else,
have we miss a rule concerning the action of forced mounting ?

I am actually not aware of any... "forced" mounting rules in PF2. So no Monster Hunter moments.

I suppose you could throw something together. Perhaps use the "Grab an Edge" action if you are trying to mount a larger creature than yourself, and use their Reflex DC instead of a Climb DC. Then on subsequent turns treat it like a Grapple, except instead of inflicting "grabbed" or "restrained" on the opponent, you maintain your hold on them. This could lead to some interesting "Huge" creature battles where they have "weak spots" in designated areas. Could be a pain to run, but could also be fun.

Give the opponent the ability to try to break the "mount" like breaking a grapple and voila, you have some scratch thrown together mounting rules.

Now if you are trying to mount a creature that could serve as a mount, that sounds, like say a wild horse, then you should probably be using Train Animal.

I used the "Buck" reaction from the bestiary to break character's attempts to mount the monster. I alse allowed the monster to use this reaction as action on its turn.
